Wankeeta Jackson serves as Senior Advisor to Radical Southern Strategies, bringing strategic insight and specialized expertise in organizational development, philanthropy, and fund development. A strategist, storyteller, and systems thinker, she helps organizations understand the relationships, patterns, and points of connection that shape their work. Her approach strengthens fundraising strategy and organizational infrastructure while centering the well-being, capacity, and sustainability of the people doing the work. Her work recognizes that lasting organizational impact depends on the sustainability of the people carrying it.
With more than a decade of experience supporting nonprofit organizations and seven years in philanthropy, Wankeeta brings the unique perspective of both grantmaker and advisor. As the former Racial Justice Program Officer at the Foundation for Louisiana, she helped launch and manage a multi-million-dollar grant portfolio advancing racial equity, climate resilience, and community-led solutions across the Gulf South.
Through a longstanding partnership, Radical Southern Strategies and Jackson Magnolia Consulting have collaborated on strategic planning, leadership development, fundraising, and organizational capacity-building initiatives for mission-driven organizations. Their work together includes developing and facilitating a grantwriting training series for the Louisiana Bucket Brigade; designing and implementing a multi-session capacity-building series for Operation Restoration that strengthened fundraising practices and organizational sustainability among its fiscally sponsored projects; and co-leading the strategic planning process for Journey into Education and Teaching (JET), guiding staff and board members in defining the organization’s long-term vision, strategic priorities, and implementation roadmap.
Wankeeta earned a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an M.S. in Human Services. She is also the founder of Women of Wakanda, a Black women-centered ecosystem created around rest, joy, healing, and collective care.
Annette Hollowell, J.D.,

The Verbena Group
Annette Hollowell is an attorney, facilitator, strategist, and community builder whose work centers Black liberation, healing, and transformational leadership. As Principal of The Verbena Group, she partners with organizations to strengthen organizational health, strategic planning, coalition building, leadership development, and community-centered facilitation.
Her approach integrates systems thinking with practices of healing, storytelling, and cultural preservation, creating spaces where organizations can reflect, reconnect, and imagine new possibilities together. Annette is also a land steward and advisor to Foxfire Ranch, her family's 80-acre cultural sanctuary in Mississippi Hill Country. There, she helps cultivate intergenerational spaces for rest, learning, artistic exchange, and community celebration while preserving the Hollowell family's century-long legacy of Black land stewardship.
RSS and The Verbena Group have partnered on a range of strategic planning, facilitation, evaluation, and movement-building engagements. Together, we co-designed and facilitated the first strategic planning process for Chicago Volunteer Doulas, led the evaluation of Prospect.6: The Future Is Present, The Harbinger Is Home, and planned and facilitated two statewide convenings for the Vera Institute of Justice that brought together advocates, directly impacted leaders, and community partners, resulting in the creation of Louisiana's Liberty & Dignity Coalition. We continue to collaborate with Foxfire Ranch, supporting strategic planning, fundraising, communications, and organizational development to strengthen its role as a nationally recognized cultural and healing-centered space.
Consistent with her commitment to liberation, leadership development, and art as a tool for social change. Her service to organizations such as Junebug Productions, the Alluvial Collective, and the National Black Food & Justice Alliance reflects a lifelong commitment to using arts and culture as tools for community building and social transformation.
